Overview
Incorporated in July 2010, SBI (B) Sdn Bhd is an Islamic private equity firm formed as a joint-venture fund management company between Ministry of Finance and Economy, Brunei Darussalam and SBI Holdings, Japan. We are a Capital Market Service License (CMSL) holder under the Securities Market Order, 2013 in Brunei Darussalam.
We currently manage two Shariah-compliant private equity funds with a total asset under management (AUM) of over USD 110 million. Guidance Investments Sdn Bhd ("GISB") is appointed as the Shariah Advisor to both funds.
SBI Islamic Fund (Brunei) Limited
SBI Islamic Fund (Brunei) Limited was launched in 2010 with a fund size of SGD 75 million. The anchor investors are Ministry of Finance and Economy, Brunei Darussalam and SBI Holdings, Japan.
SBI Islamic Fund II (Brunei) Limited
SBI Islamic Fund II (Brunei) Limited was launched in October 2016 with USD 60 million capital committed by Ministry of Finance and Economy, Brunei Darussalam, SBI Ventures Singapore and Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah.
